We all need to kick in and help our planet stay green and we fashionista’s are no exception. I know of many ways that we can help. One if turn off the lights if you are not in the room. So many of my friends and family just leave lights on constantly and it costs a lot of wasted energy. President Obama suggests changing all your light bulbs for the mini fluorescents but that actually creates more mercury in our toxic waste sites. As individuals we can make choices that will help save energy and other natural resources but like the fluorescent you need to make sure you understand the technology.

One of the easiest to do is stop using plastic or paper bags when you go shopping. Plastic bags last forever in the landfills and paper bags kill trees. Trees are a renewable resource but we need the wood they provide for housing. The housing prices are lower if there is not such a demand on lumber. They come in a variety of colors and styles so you can make a cool fashion statement with your bag while you are shopping and saving the planet.
