Like the Dear Abby of Fashion!
I cannot keep a good secret to myself. I just have to spread it around because this fashion advice column in the Baltimore Fashion Week Washington post is marvelous. Desperate “istas” (I
stole it from Sharon Nixon..short for fashionista) send in their questions and these two marvelous staff writers for the Post answer them. What a concept! The questions are really good here is an example:
“Maryland: I have a closet and dresser full of clothes…most of which I don’t like and do not wear. Part of me is tempted to donate it all and start from scratch, but I don’t want to rebuild an entire wardrobe! But my staples seem slightly dated and they certainly bore me at this point.
Any tips for updating my clothes without breaking the bank? And any tips on how to bite the bullet and just get rid of those clothes I haven’t worn in years?
See what I mean? Good practical fashion advice from one of your buddies who have been there and bought the t-shirt to prove it! Literally.. The other advisor is Michelle Thomas and she is just as fashion savvy and they both have a cool sense of humor. The audience is also sending in their tips for stores and online shopping to help meet serious problems like finding shoes for a size 11 foot! See you think you got troubles?
This is the first column I have caught and I plan to check in on them to see how it progresses. I like the idea of two people writing as it keeps the answers fresh and another perspective. It is kind of smart like OpenFashion, huh? Why not go give the girls a try but don’t forget where you heard it first! Ciao!
