Hiroki Kuroda was the recipient of a bean ball alongside his head in the Dodgers versus Diamondbacks game. Rusty Ryal lined a pitch that stuck Hiroki Kuroda in royal fashion right in the temple. He was taken off the field on a stretcher and moved to a local hospital.

The Dodgers were leading the game 3 – 0 when he got hit. They reported he was conscious and no blood when he was removed on the stretcher. Kuroda who is 34 years old came to the Dodgers from the Japanese League last year.
