Do Fashion Predictions Come True?

Six months ago all the fashion bloggers were predicting what would be hot this year and what would not. One thing I know they all missed that I knew would continue their popularity are flip flops! That is enough bragging on me! He-he! Let’s look at some of the predictions and see if they came true.

Trousers- A closet full of plain trousers to mix and match. Well, that is a pretty easy prediction we have to wear pants but I don’t see this as a risky prediction. Women have to wear slacks to work. I see a lot of dresses out there this year but mostly on creative types.

Big Earrings- Ok, I have to agree on this one. I have seen a lot of big hoops and dangling earrings. I have to admit I like them and would wear them too but my ears are too little!

Printed Hosiery- Sorry dead on arrival. They never look good on anyone and completely distract from an overall look. They did not make it this year and I doubt they ever will outside a strip club.

Pointed toe pumps- Oh come on! How can you go wrong with a pump? Yes everyone wore them and they look terrific with dresses or even jeans.

Boyfriend Jeans– Ok that worked because everyone was tired of squeezing into skinny jeans from last year. Every other year you have to give your ass a break. So the BF jeans caught on and lots of girls wore them. I’m just saying.

So, there they are the five predictions. I give it a three out of five and I am being a little generous. I am ready for your thoughts. Did these styles make it or can you suggest others that did?
